SAN FRANCISCO, May 15 2014 – Cross Device Retargeting leader Struq has appointed Thornton Schaaf as its Regional Vice President of Sales for the Pacific Northwest. This is the second recent high-profile hire by the ad tech leader, following its appointment of Ben Manning as VP of Product in April.
Based out of San Francisco, the appointment continues Struq’s expansion on the West Coast of the US, honouring the company’s commitment to rapid growth in the US market. The role is geared at helping add to Struq’s already impressive roster of US clients, which includes Chico’s, Wayfair and The Limited.
Prior to his role at Struq, Schaaf spent nearly three years as VP of Sales at Triggit, where he helped to expand the company’s international operations into South America and Asia.
A strong focus on retail clients and Facebook advertising during the role made him a prime candidate for helping Struq expand. Before this, Schaaf was an Account Executive at Specific Media, where he specialized in direct client business in the Pacific Northwest.
Of the move, Schaaf said “Struq has rapidly established itself as a leader in Cross Device Retargeting and personalized ad campaigns. Its astounding rate of growth in the US market hints at a promising future and I am looking forward to being at the forefront of that growth on the West Coast.”
Struq CEO Sam Barnett said “Thornton has a proven pedigree in ad tech sales, helping to successfully expand Triggit into two new continents. He is an expert in the fields of ad personalization, DCO and Facebook retargeting, technologies that are a key part of our offering at Struq. Struq now has a presence both in Los Angeles and San Francisco. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to even greater success in the US market.”
